Too Much Cheese?

Hi....looking back on my menu today, I'm starting to think I had a little too much cheese. I had some with each of my three meals (none during snacks). I had a slice of 2% swiss with my spinach, mushroom eggs, a slice of 2% cheddar on my veggie burger, and a fresh mozzarella and tomato salad with my dinner. Too much? Has anyone had weightloss stall because of too much cheese? Seems like I recall people on Atkins and similar programs saying it could stall them.
Also, while I'm asking questions, are veggie burgers okay on Phase 1. I saw it read "South Beach Approved," but I couldn't find where it mentioned the phases.
Thanks!!!!
Jessica

In phase 1, I wouldn't worry too much about cheese. Just make sure that you choose low-fat varieties and that you eat all the required foods daily. In phase 2, you may want to cut back as cheese is more calorie dense than other options.
Veggie burgers are fine on any phase. They are considered a soy-based protein. The guidelines are:
Look for products that have 6 grams of fat or less per 2-3 ounce serving
Just be cautious with the cheese. 4 or 5 cheese sticks contain a lot of calories and could stall your weight loss efforts.
Also, I just want to clarify that cheese is not considered dairy on South Beach. Only skim milk, 1% milk, soy milk and yogurt are acceptable for your dairy requirement.
I am a "recovering" cheesaholic...ate it every meal and snack. I even put cheese on my french toast which my dh thinks is disgusting. He doesn't know what he is missing! :)
Seriously though...Since I have started P2, one of my personal goals has been to get my cheese portions under control. The first few weeks were hard because I just basically cut back on the amount and in my mind and taste buds that was cutting back on flavor. Just recently, I bought Light Laughing Cow Garlic and Herb cheese for the first time for my trip. The portion is pre-measured and for some reason it tastes more flavorful than other cheese. I have been able to eat 1/2 the serving I would normally eat without sacrificing flavor. I still use regular shredded or slice cheese on eggs and stuff like that but Light Laughing Cow is good for crackers, veggies, etc. They also have the little blocks of cheese (you can have 5 blocks as 1 svg and only 35 calories).
...Can't say enough about Laughing Cow...very tasty!
