Yesterday went to the store and bought lots of healthy things and sent the unhealthy things packing. Today is day one for me of phase one. Had breakfast and thought I would really miss my morning cereal. Instead, I missed my morning orange juice! I don't drink coffee and I'm from the South, so tea to me is sweet! I do love to drink water, but not the first thing in the morning. Any other suggestions? Wish me luck! I am WAY addicted to sugar! Also, any hints if you aren't big on vegetables? I pretty much eat corn, salad and asparagus. I'm hoping to try new ones, but have never cared for veggies in the past (I'm a fruit gal).

I guess you could start your morning off with a glass of crystal lite -- there is an orange drink with the word "sunrise" in the name ( I haven't bought it for awhile) that is really good!

Someone will pop in who is more knowledgeable soon, I'm sure!

Teresa is on the right track....many here love the taste of OJ in the morning and get it in the form of Orange Sunrise Crystal Light.


If you stick with the plan, you'll be surprised that in a few days your sugar cravings will pretty much disappear. You must, however, eat vegetable (corn is not allowed). Try adding some veggies to an omelet, have a big salad with diced veggies and some leftover meat or lean deli meats for lunch. Do you like V8? It's a great way to get one veggie serving out of the way! You should also try roasting veggies. My favorite is to roast a combination of eggplant, red bell peppers, onion, zucchini, and tomato. I make a big batch and use it as a side dish and for omelets.

Mentall, I was addicted to coke... so I had to work hard to cut out cokes and I replaced them basically with Caffeine Free Diet Dr Pepper and Diet 7up and Caffeine Free Diet Pepsi!!

I also add crystal light to my water.

I too didn't "do" veggies... but I have found a love of zucchini, eggplant and ORANGE peppers.. really branch out and you might be surprised!!
