Hello everyone! I'm new here. My husband and I just started the South Beach diet on Monday. I have PCOS and two diabetic parents so I need to watch my diet more. I'd like to get pregnant again and I know this will help. I'd also like to lose some weight. I'm really excited to have found this website. (A friend pointed me here.) So far things are going ok. I'm finding that I really need to find time to cook because I'm getting sick of all of the quick snacky foods I'm allowed to have on Phase 1. I know I can do this, but it doesn't mean that it's easy. Hope to get to know you all.

Thanks for being so welcoming! I think having support will help make this easier. Today I'm really excited, because I'm making one of my favorites... Chili! I don't even need to make any adjustments to it. The way I make it is already SB friendly! I'm also excited because it will help me get my fiber in. That's something I'm struggling with because I'm really not a veggie fan. (Although I'm working on it!) I've also found sugar free fiber chewables that I'd love to eat like candy they taste so good but I'm sure the pain wouldn't be worth it! Thanks again everyone. I'm excited to be here.

Hey girl..I started this diet about 2 weeks ago and I love it. I also have PCOS...It has been hard but I have lost about 15lbs so far..I did WW first and I just switched over..I like SB better! My husband and I have been trying to get pregnant for about a year and some...and loosing weight has really helped me. I wish you the best of luck and let me know if you ever need anyone to talk to....Jenny

I'm really happy to hear from you! Sounds like we've got very similar situations. Do you have any children? Have you taken any fertility drugs? We have two kids and both of them were conceived with Clomid. It's taking much longer this time. I've been on SB for almost a week now and I'm doing pretty well. I've done WW in the past too but I'm still allowed a lot of carbs and sugar with that diet and if you have PCOS that really doesn't do a lot for you long term. I hope that this is a diet I can stick with long term and I hope that it helps us get pregnant. Thanks for the support. I'm so excited to get to know you better.
