New to board/ I start today!

Hello!
I start today! Wow am I glad to have found this board, it will be a great help to me!
My name is Michelle I am 27 I have been married 9 years and I am the mother of three kids.
I am 5'4 or so and weigh 130. My goal is 120. I feel like a healthy weight for me would be 118 to 120. I have gained about 10 pounds over the past 6 years or so, and want to shed it. Last summer I was down to 125 or so, and was much more comfortable. Soooooo, I refuse to go out and buy new jeans/shorts so here I am.
I have read the South beach book front to back, and I have a cook book. I am very excited and ready to start!
I really look forward to meeting all of you, and the wonderful support to both give and receive on this board!

Welcome and Good luck Michelle! I think you will find SB to be great for you! I've been on and off of it for over a year (was pregnant for 9 months of that time!) and find it to be not a diet but a true lifestyle that I can live with. If you find Phase 1 to be challenging (I did the first time around) this board is so helpful for support and ideas. I find the Journaling my food (there is a section below) and reading others for ideas and motivation is the key for me!

There have been some changes since the book was published (like the addition of dairy in phase 1). Welcome! I wanted to tell you that the way you're cooking for the week and then portioning it out is a really great way to keep yourself on track!! That's what I did the last time I did SB and it helped me be really successful.
