Hi y'all!! My name is Kelly and I am in Phase 1, day 5. My family and I live in Florida and I am a homeschooling mom of two boys. Since I started hsing them eight months ago, I put on 10 pounds. That was enough for me! I am totally motivated and committed to loosing this and more weight. I am only 29 and want to be in the best shape of my life when I turn 30 (which is only a few months away).

Thanks for having me! Here's to our success!

Hi Kelly,

Nice to meet you and good luck to you! I am in my late 20's also and 10 pounds extra was enough for me also to get motivated.

Welcome to the board! I had a lot more than 10lbs to lose - but, I started at 28 and just turned 30 this year...and I can definitely say that thanks to South Beach I turned 30 in the BEST shape of my life (and looking hotter than I did at 20!)

Good luck!

Oh, girl, I wish it were only 10 lbs! I am actually at 184 right now and my goal is 150. My short term goal is to lose the 10 I gained this year before the beginning of October and hopefully to be 20 lbs lighter come my birthday (December23rd).My overall goal is 34 lbs. and once I get there, we will see.

I was 134 when I became pregnant with my 10 year old and I really didn't feel very healthy that way. Maybe it wasn't the weight, maybe it was my lack of exercise (I was on bed rest for 4 months). Before that, I had been very active and happy. I think 150 is attainable for me and I think once I get there, it will motivate me even more to keep going.

I am also hoping to lose some bust size. I am a 38D and I can't take it anymore! I used to be a 36B (at 134 lbs.) and then went up to a C after my first son was born. That still was ok until # 2 was born and I ballooned up to a 38D.

I am really pleased with the enviroment of sister hood and support I have found here. I am glad I found y'all!

Blessings!

WOW! You are such an inspiration to me! I am at the same starting weight and height (almost) as you when you stated SB. Except, I am 5'2". My boys and I were looking at your photos and were really motivated. Thanks for sharing them! It proves to me I CAN do this!

Blessings,

Kelly

I am 42 and just had my 4th child a year ago. I am ready to lose about 20 pounds. Currently, I weigh 144 lbs. I have been reading about the diet and it sounds great. I am planning on buying the book today and starting. My husband is going to begin it with me as well. The only issue I have is that he takes high blood pressure medication. Should he be concerned about health issues? I am also concerned about Phase 1 and the possible side effects.
