I started SBD on Sunday, and noticed on Mon & Tues I was starving. I did OK, and ate things I could have (OK, I had a donut on Tuesday at the office, but back on track after that) Today, that seems to be over and my appetite is back to normal. Is that common to be famished for a couple of days and then go back to normal?

oh the donut made me feel like crud, when I eat too much junk like donuts & chips, I feel so lethargic, I can hardly stay awake at my desk. I nod off and I can't help it. It's odd, but I have narrowed it down to eating too much sugar or chips, etc. I had already cut back some and was watching what I was eating more than I used to. That whole going to sleep thing has to stop. I almost went to sleep when I was driving the car. When I went to the doctor, my fasting blood sugar was almost in the diabetic range, so I know that my diet has to change. I am hoping that SBD is the way to go. I looked around at a lot of diets, and thought this one made sense to me for the long term.

Yesterday was much better, I felt like when I ate, it lasted more than hour before I was hungry again. The hardest thing is giving up my sugar in coffee & tea. I am adjusting to Splenda but it just isn't the same.

Hi Melissa and welcome!

It's important that you eat 3 meals and 3 snacks every day while on phae 1. You need to keep your blood sugar levels stable and that will start to make you feel better. Choose from the foods to enjoy list and stay away from the donuts!
