Okay, guys! I have reached an all-time high on the scales and can't even tell you how I did it. I'm very active, don't eat a lot, but have still mangaged to put on 40 pounds in the past two years. Go figure! Have tried other diets with no success, so I'm going to give this one a shot. Started phase 1 today. This message board looks like a great support system. I look forward to reading all of your success stories.

Thanks for the encouragement! I must admit that I find it a lot more confusing than Atkins.. with Atkins it seemed that you had more choices of what to eat. But I have a friend that recently went on SBD and she looks GREAT!

Yeah, I thought the same thing. You're not limited on veggies and you get squite a few fruits and grains too. I think what surprised me most was how NOT limited I feel. I can even find things that work for me with minimal changes at most restraunts. I'm sure some of the meats aren't as lean as they should be but almost everywhere serves some type of chicken. I love that I feel like I can still go out with friends and lead a normal life. I loved Weight Watchers at home but going out was hard. Low fat is really difficult in restraunts and figuring out points was hard when eating out. I like that I feel like I can just be normal. Yeah for living a normal life. I think that's part of why this can be a lifestyle.
