I needed sweet stuff and salty stuff while I detoxed in phase 1.

Canned green beans. I've always liked eating green beans straight out of the can. And sugar free hard candies.

Y'know what got me through Phase 1???? I *totally skipped it*! And I was fine, I wasn't a sweets person so for me it was really just a matter of making sure I was having whole grains and fruit instead of refined/enriched products. Worked for me.

Well....I wasn't used to drinking alot of milk when I started back in January. But I found that I liked fat-free milk with a packet or 2 of Splenda. I haven't had that in quite a long time now, but I had that pretty much everyday during P1.

Hummos and tzaziki dips. Especially when I found a legal one from the store. Yeah they are not hard to make, but come on. Between my career, Mike's career, the kids activities, the house, parent council, who as time to strain ff sf yogurt? My girls are the same way. it is always about the dip.

What got Mike through was the desserts from the SBD book.

Sugar-free candies and sugar-free gum got me through Phase 1. I wasn't much of a potato chip/popcorn person, so those things were easy to avoid. Cake, brownies, and cookies were my weakness and eating the sugar-free candies gave me the sensation of sweetness without the calories.

Sugar-free mini York Peppermint Patties saved me from cheating in Phase 1.

I was the exact opposite - I'm not really big on candy/sweets in the traditional candy/cake sense
