You CAN have treats and deserts, just legal ones. We make a flourless chocolate torte or a carrot torte for all our birthdays and I have never felt deprived. I just made a low-fat, sugar-free cheesecake this weekend for a friends birthday and I made a whole grain, sugar free apple crisp for a party a couple weeks ago that everyone loved.

8 days is not enough time to see if something is working. Everyone's metabolism is different. If you really aren't losing, try posting a menu for us and we can see if there is anything you could improve on.

Eating right, nourishing your body and becoming a healthier person is never a waste of time!

Just want to let you know that pudding is a phase 2 food because of the modified food starch in the ingredients.

Looks good! I think I eat twice that much but I should not be a followed example most days! I am still trying to get it all straightened out and I"ve been in phase 2 for over 6 months!!!

Way to hang tuff with the cake!

I would watch your bean intake -- lentil soup for lunch and then bean salad for dinner is probably too much. Personally I have to really watch beans, they can make me stall. And make sure you're getting in *lots* of the other veggies. They help clean out the gunk from your body. Your snacks should be more like mini-meals -- add a cheese stick in with your nuts, drink a V-8, have some carrot sticks, drink a glass of milk when you have your fudgsicle. The protein is really important.
