can't lose on phase 1

Hi Everyone
i'm new here i started phase 1 Last Sunday and my weight didn't go down
i had no bread,no rice, no potatoes, no fruits but i don't drink a lot of water
do you think that is the cause

Welcome! Are you eating 4 1/2 cups of veggies daily? Enjoying 2 cups of milk or yogurt every day? Let us know what a typical day looks like for you and we'll be able to help you out.
There are so many factors that play into weight loss - we need a lot more information to help you figure out what is going on! Weight loss on phase can vary by:
- Age (due to hormones, the older you are, the harder it can be to lose - someone who is 50 won't see the same numbers as someone who is 20)
- Gender
- How much weight you have to lose (usually the less you have to lose, the slower it is)
- How healthy you ate before (if SB is a DRASTIC change, then you will most likely lose faster, if you did another diet or ate relatively healthy before - your initial loss might be less)
- How much you are eating (biggest mistake is not eating enough and putting your body into starvation mode)
- Are you getting the right servings of everything? 4 1/2 cups veggies, 2 cups dairy, etc.
- Is it close to that time of the month? Water weight gains can mask weight loss
- Are you constipated? A lot of people have that happen on phase 1 and it can also mask weight loss.

i'm 35. before sbd I use to eat healty but a lot of pasta & potatoes which i cut completly
i've been using the recipes
ex:
Monday:
B:2 boiled eggs + 2 decaf latte with skim milk no sugar
s: hand full almond + V8
l:1 can tuna +salad w/tomatoes and low fat mayo + diet coke
s;hand full almond
d:1/2 spaghetti squash + meat sauce+ 1 decaf latte
s: low fat chocolat jello made with skim milk
A few things on the menu...
I can't tell if you are going over your nut limit, but you are having almonds twice. The serving size for almonds is 15 almonds (per day limit). I also can't tell if you are getting 4 1/2 cups of veggies? I only see the V8, tomatoes and spaghetti squash - if that adds up to 4 1/2 cups, then you are fine there. Pudding is a phase 2 food because of the modified food starches it contains.
The other major factor that you didn't mention is how much you have to lose. Someone with 70lbs to lose will lose much faster in the beginning than someone with 10 or 15lbs to lose.
