I am so frustrated. I've been on phase one for one week. I've lost nothing. I've changed the way I eat drastically. I used to eat basically nothing BUT carbs and junk food, candy, etc...I just read the list of acceptable foods for phase one and I see that turkey bacon is limited to two slices per day. I did not know this (yes I read the book) and this morning for breakfast I had EIGHT pieces! Eight! My gosh! But still other than that, I should be losing.  :-(  This is very discouraging to me and tempts me to just want to give up and just gourge myself with sweets.

The good thing about this diet is I've noticed I'm not really hungry and I'm eating a lot less than I used to because I'm not hungry. No, I'm not starving myself. I'm just really frustrated. I feel like I'm doing this for nothing.

Everyone's body reacts differently to Phase 1, but without seeing what else you are eating during the day (are you getting all your veggie servings?) it is hard to tell what might be going on. My suggestion would be to begin keeping a journal here so others can read what you are eating and help figure out where your stumbling block might be.

For example, today for breakfast I just had those 8 pieces of turkey bacon. I've usually been eating eggs for breakfast but I had to hurry and get to the doctors. For lunch I had a large grilled chicken salad, no croutons and olive oil and vinegar for the dressing. Also a wedge of colby cheese that came with my salad and a hard boiled egg (also came w/ my salad). For dinner, rolled up some cheese and lean turkey breast and ate that. I'm just not really hungry. I drink plenty of water all throughout the day. Ohhh and I ate about six olives as a snack earlier.
