Hi everyone!I have been here before in the past, for about a minute, lol.I just did not have the willpower, soooooo here I am again, and I'm on day three!
I'm a mom of four, and my youngest will be 3 this month, and I am 30 pounds heavier than what I used to weigh before he was born.I did have a tubal ligation,so I'm not sure if that has contributed to the weight not coming off or not.
Either way,I have never watched my eating habits for more than a few days.I think the main reasons are,I am always hungry, convenience, kids and their goodies, and before my last child was born,I could eat whatever and still stay a size 11/12/ which I was very happy with.
Now,I'm a size 16/18,and weigh 190.5 and I really want to weigh between 155-160 again by the time summer comes around!
I haven't cheated, last night was a little tough, around 9 pm I was STARVING and there were a few temptations, but I made myself a ricotta dessert, and had about a handful of soynuts, and a huge glass of Arizona diet green tea,and read for awhile and went to sleep.YES!LoL I made it!
One thing I am having trouble with is drinking enough water, and eating enough veggies.
I think I'm afraid of over doing it with my portions,I'm eating cottage cheese, and deli meats for protein, and eggs of course.
I've had about 6 oz of low sodium V8 for the last 3 days, and a salad for the last 3 days,so I know I'm not getting enough veggies.I' working on that today, and trying to drink more water.
Sorry this is dragging on but I am really serious this time, and I've been reading a lot of the posts and am loving the tips and stories of successes and even failures.
Everyone have a great weekend!

Hi, and welcome back!
Welcome back! Joy is right, if you are hungry EAT!!
I also had never spent more than a day or two "dieting" prior to South Beach. I would deprive myself, starve myself, get grumpy and hungry for 2 days, and then binge and think "*I* could never stick with a diet!"
South Beach is different though. I have never once felt like I had to be hungry, deprive myself or be overly restrictive. If I am hungry - I eat. Even if I go over the limits of "legal" foods - its way better than quitting and binging on junk. With that attitude I stuck with South Beach, lost 67lbs in 11 months and have maintained for 2 years.
