EEEEKK! Broke Down Last Night!

I am just starting week two of phase one.  Did great all week, then DH and I went to a friends house for dinner, and I ate terrible and not at all on the diet (lasagna, ice cream and cherries jubilee, and then we had popcorn when we played games!)

Eeeeeeeeeeeekkkkkk!

Do I go back to the begining of P1 or still just do one week and then move to P2?

Any advice you have after falling off the wagon is much appreciated!

Don't look at it as falling off the wagon. You haven't done any damage, just keep on going with phase one today. The only way you fall off the wagon is if you quit completely and go back to your way of eating.

So, keep going. One night of eating what everyone else was having isn't going to undo all your hard work. And, for me, I try to learn from something like this. If I know that I'm going to be tempted in the future by something, then I try to plan ahead and take something along for me that will be a treat but still safe. My youngest daughter has celiac disease and can't eat any gluten. We've been dealing with this for about 8 months now, and it's really hard, because every family function, friend thing, etc. meals prepared are filled with gluten. I've learned to just ask ahead of time if they mind if I bring something similar to what's being served but with the safe ingredients for her. For example, if you knew everyone there was going to be eating lasagna, you could make your own version, either without the noodles or with veggies instead of noodles. Bring it along, have the salad with everyone else, etc. It does take more work and planning, but for my daughter she will get very, very sick if she eats the gluten. I've tried to look at it the same for me. Taking out of my diet the things I know will keep me fat is just like having an allergy or something and I need to treat it just as seriously. After all, isn't heart disease one of the leading causes of death in women?

I hope I'm making sense, but this is what is helping me. I'm just finishing week 1, so I'm right there with you. But, I've "fallen off the wagon" so many times on other diets, my butt hurts! LOL! I'm trying to take a new mental approach this time around!

You should move on to Phase 2 as scheduled, don't restart Phase 1.

Best advice for falling off the wagon.....pick yourself up, dust yourself off, realize you're human, and get back on track.
