I was just wondering what you are eating today???

I have eaten some pistachios, and a 1/2 of a rotisserie chicken breast.  I plan to have a salad for lunch and then for dinner I think I am going to steam some broccoli and sprinkle with cheese and have a salad or a piece of salmon to go with it.   What are you guys having?  Maybe I can get some ideas as I plan the rest of my week.

Ok, I read everyone's menu's and I've got to know - ARE Y'ALL STARVING????

I must eat 3X's what y'all are eating... no one is going hungry right? You're not supposed to be hungry with this diet. ;-)

And let's not forget, should you get hungry:

Jennie's Hunger Buster

1 low fat cheesestick
2 tsp crunchy peanut butter
1 slice turkey breast deli meat

slather the PB on the deli meat and wrap it aroud the cheese stick

I do want to add that they are all eating so healthy and sticking to the plan so well and all the good food choices should be commended!!!!!

Maybe I'm just still a piggy!! Haha

But yeah, sometimes I eat more for breakfast than it seems some of our phase one ladies are eating all day - how do you do that?!?! I need more meat baby!!

I totally agree with Jennie & Deb!!!

And I have to say that when I was first starting phase 1, I was still of the mentality that eating less = more weight loss. However, this is so untrue. What helped me to get over that quickly was that DH & I used the meal planning guide in the SB book for the first 3 days or so. And it was a ton (literally) of food!!! It seemed like every time I turned around, it was time to eat...again. I remember making some salads for us for lunch those first few days and having to buy larger containers to hold a single serving salad. At the time, I figured there was no way we were going to 'lose' weight on this diet. And I was SO WRONG about that!!!

So to you phase 1 ladies out there, please make sure you are eating until you are full, especially during this time. Watch your cheese portions, nut portions and fat/oils like salad dressings to make sure you stay within the guidelines. But remember, you should never feel hungry while following the South Beach way of eating. If you are, help yourself to more vegetables or another serving of lean meat or have an extra bowl of soup or salad. If you deprive yourself, you'll only be looking for something less healthy to fill up on later. Your have to fill your body with good foods to fuel the calorie burn!!!

With that said, I hope you are all doing well and feeling great!!!

Rebekah
