I'm new here. I started on the SB diet last Sunday. The first day was hard...the food was fine but I decided to give up caffeine too and then went to see High School Musical on Ice with my friend and three 9 yo, a 7 yo and a 6 yo. Plus I had PMS. I had a really bad headache by the time we got home!
I'm doing good now and have lost 4 lbs since Sunday. I am hoping to lose 5 lbs, if I lost 10 lbs, that would be great! My major goal really is to maintain my weight. I'm 5' 9" and am happy to be anywhere in the 150's. I'm 41 now and have realized I can't eat whatever I want anymore. My MIL gained a lot of weight in her 50's and I don't want that to happen to me.
For exercise, I'm pretty active. I run and would like to run a 10K this year (I've only done a couple 5K's). I also take a spinning class at the Y and lift weights.
Anyway, I'm glad to have found this board!

Welcome, Linda! WooHoo on your loss of 4lbs!
I did think about just starting at Phase 2. But I tried that once before, when I was nursing. And it just didn't work. I think I need to go through Phase 1 to figure out what to eat, etc. I've really gotten a lot more conscious of my bad habits this week! (Like pouring out some Goldfish for the kids and eating a handful, etc...that stuff really adds up!)
