I am just transfering to this WOE from Suzanne Somers WOE (5 wks), I believe her way was too high in fats for me and the high fat dairy may not be the best because I noticed MORE cellulite (unfortunately) on my back legs. I didnt gain on her way nor did I lose ( I recently suffered a miscarriage at 5 weeks) maybe that could account for not losing....I have about 9 pounds to lose and basically was wanting to get off sugar. Of course I cheated this past superbowl weekend-depressed about weight..So I am trying the Phase 1 ....I was wondering if my eating looks correct: Yesterday's meals
B~ coffee w/ low fat evap skim milk, splenda : 3 eggs -fried
S~ 15 almonds
L~2 Lettuce wraps (1 sl smoked turkey on each, 1/2 sl fat free cheese, mustard & mayo)
S~ 2 string cheese
D~ chicken breast (2) bone on -fried (skin removed) broccoli w/ spray butter, steamed
D~ fat free ricotta w/ splenda and vanilla...-squirt of sugar free whipped cream (can-Land-o-Lakes)
Today
B~ coffee w/ 2 Tblsp half and half & small amt evap light milk, splenda ....2 veggie quiche cups
S: small amt roasted Garbanzo beans and roasted cauliflower
I will take a spin class at noon and I usually work out 5-6 days a week...cardio and weights.
I have to have my coffee very light and I HATE fat free evap milk so I used half & half AND evap milk... I feel confused after doing Somersizing, I like the use of lower fat versions but I dont know how to go w/out dairy...I enjoy the ricotta creams but dont know if that is right for me....I know I sound confused so please bear w/ me. I am retraining my mind w/ things after Somersizing..(eating carbs ALONE -no fats or proteins) Eating fruit on empty stomach and having FULL FAT everything. NO SUGAR OR WHITE STUFF either. Thank you for your response...I get so confused. So your saying too much cheese? I should maybe have 1 string cheese instead of 2 (oink) I get hungry and dont know what to do yet. I just had 2 lettuce wraps w/ 2 sl each boiled ham and 1 slice fat free cheese split in half and mayo and mustard. Just took spin class -so hopefully I wont get too hungry. I will check out posts, you all seem very helpful so again Thank you .Jo

Well I certainly need some definate encouragement! I fell Off the wagon yesterday about 3:00 I ate pie w/ ice cream and then about 5:00 cake and some more ice cream (not alot) but then again its all sugar. I feel very heavy and definately feel as if I have gained...something happened over the weekend???? I just lost it. I have about 9 pounds to lose but feel like its more now, afraid to step on scale. because of Sat, Sun and Thurs cheating. I feel overall heavy like I am carrying a ball and chain. I am on the verge of tears and dont know if I will EVER get this weight off, basically its the only part of
I think starting fresh today was for the best.
The CLs didn't comment on these specifically, so maybe I'm wrong.
I agree with everything you are al saying. It is mental for me. I think I was following things to a "T" and not losing not being patient but deep down I know for me full fat is NOT the way to go. I feel better now doing the South Beach even Mon, Tues, Wed I felt better doing low/non fat items and checking for sugar. I guess I let my mind take over Thurs.
I use 2% evap milk in my coffee, I have full fat Half & half, heck I WAS using heavy cream the other WOE -I knew deep down in my head it wasnt good for me. BUT thats what the WOE said to do, so I tried. Not for me, I knew it had to be too good to be true.
Why not try switching over to fat free half and half.
