Hi Ladies,
I may as well take the opp to introduce myself before I complain! lol
I was inspired by jenniemadsen who I know from another board (I don't think she knows she inspired me!) I read SBD about three years ago, and sort of tried, but gave up early. I have always been chubby, until I was trying to get pg. I did ww and got a personal trainer, and ended up buying a pair of size 6 black capris for my cousin's wedding...that's the last thing I remember... I am 5'5" and 137 lbs at my lowest, but went up to 145 before I got pg. I gained 40 lbs with my pg. I came home from the hospital at 168, and have been fluctuating between 169-174 for the last two years. So I've learned one thing...I sure know how to maintain!!
I started Phase 1 at 171 lbs and it has been going well since Monday - I'm doing eggs in the am with turkey bacon. Usually a veg juice and/or cheese stick for a snack. HUGE salad w/ either feta, turkey, or tuna for lunch. Snack is usually a plate of veggies and hummus. Supper is protein (fish or chicken usually) with some steamed or sauteed veggies. Dessert is sometimes jello, sometimes ricotta. I couldn't resist getting on the scale on Saturday morning and I LOST 4 lbs!! My goal is 145.
For some reason, tho, I'm totally exhausted today....all day (I know this is normal with a 2 yr old!!) but it's so much more than normal. Has this happened to anyone else? I'm getting the same amount of sleep, working a bit more, but I was wondering if it could be attributed to an extreme change in diet?
Thanks for your help, and thanks in advance for all the tips and recipes...I CANNOT wait to try the PB cup!! lol

Hi, and welcome to the board!
Hi Alana,
Welcome!
Do you know we were so close to naming our youngest Alana?
I went through the same thing on P1. I was hoping to work out through P1 and I was completely exhausted. As you continue and your body adjusts the energy comes back. Plus in P2 the ability to eat carbs & fruit really increases the energy level! Just stick with it and you will have probably more energy in the end than you originally did!
Congrats on how much you have accomplished in week 1!
