Okay, I went out shopping last night and ran into a few things I wasn't sure of.  First off, I know we don't want things with added sugars, but for things like dressing, if it is very low on the ingredient list and the item has the less than 3 g of sugar as per the SBD guidelines, is it okay?  Also, I found some dill pickles.  The next to the last ingredient was sugar, but there was so little sugar per serving (1/4 large pickle) that sugar was 0 on the label.  Is this pickle okay?

Also, do pickles really count towards veggies?  I saw it on the Phase 1 vegetables list.  I like to sometimes buy and eat a whole dill pickle, and I guess it does start as a cucumber, but do you really count it as a vegetable?

Thanks for all your help!

Hi,

Any dressing that has 3 grams of sugar or less per serving is fine to enjoy.
