I know that venison is okay on SB, but what about deer sausage? It is from a deer that was hunted by my uncle and he had it made into summer sausage- type rolls. This is one that I'm just not sure about!
We get deer sausage & deer sticks from my FIL, too. I do know that ours is deer mixed with a little pork, so I'm not sure how "legal" it is. But I do know that it is pretty low-fat (judging by the fact that it's much drier than other sausages). Now if only I could find SF apple jelly for the apple-mustard sauce that we make for it... :o)
I have some deer sausage too, in the freezer from my father.
