Day 4 of Phase 1

Hello! Well, I am back on the South Beach Diet for a second time. The first time I tried it, I started right before the holidays about a year ago and of course gained back all I lost plus more. So now I am starting with the motivation to loose atleast 30 lbs by the time I hit the beach in June. :)
Now, my question is...I have just completed day 4 and have already lost 5/6 lbs...Is this normal? I remembered loosing around 15 lbs on Phase 1 the last time I tried the diet...but my question is what is truly okay? I am doing great and have no cravings for anything I have given up. I am very strict on myself and don't let anything go into my mouth that isn't on the list.

It's not unusual to see that rate of loss in phase 1.
Just wanted to say congrats for making it to day 4...
You're doing great, Julie.
Everyone is different, my dh lost 16lbs in phase 1 (8lbs each week). I would just say enjoy it - but remember that it doesn't continue that way and don't get too used to seeing those big numbers because they will slow down - which is okay!
