Couple P1 food questions

Almost 1 week down (on Monday) !!

What is the difference between Sweet & Low and Splenda?

Is low carb/low sugar ketchup ok to use in P1? Which is better the homemade SB ketchup or store bought low carb/low sugar ketchup?

What kind of butter (butter replacement) is best to use? I have Smart Balance light and LOL Light butter with canola oil. I prefer the LOL but wanted to see what was best.

I really cannot do my coffee without cream,I usually would do 1TBS of light cream in 1 cup of coffee. I have been using the FF LOL creamer this week and it is killing me, it just makes my coffee taste off. How horrible would it be to use my regular creamer (1TBS Fat 2.5g/Sat Fat 1.5g/Carbs 1g/Sugar 1g) in my usual 2 cups of coffee a day?

Last question (for now) what is a good scale that most people use?

I'll attempt to answer some of your questions.

Both Sweet & Low and Splenda are fine on SBD.

I was going to start a new post and ask about a few condiments but then saw your post so hope its ok if I jump in here.

In regards to the ketchup, where can you get it? It used to be available at Albertsons when I did SB 3 years ago and even up until maybe a year ago but now they only have regular ketchup. Same goes for A-1 sauce....they used to have the low carb/low sugar one and now they only offer regular.

Where can I get SB legal ketchup and steak sauce? And what ones are the best?

Lastly, I messed up last night for desert and had SF FF choc. pudding! Darn it I thought it was OK on P1 and just read on here today that it is only OK in P2....so how much do you think that will mess me up? I had about 4 good size spoonfuls with 2 spoonfuls of SF FF cool whip on top.

Thanks,
Nicol

The only reason pudding is a P2 food is because of the modified starches.

I saw the rc ketchup at Giant yesterday before I posted here so I may go and grab that since the homemade one only last's a week and I am sure I would not use that much in one week. Thanks Joy for the advice

Just wanted to add that you can use soy creamer and Silk brand soy milk creamer is very good.

Thanks! Oh good so the pudding was not too bad, phew! I'll just go around to different stores (Vons, Wal-Mart, Ralphs) and hopefully one of them will have the SB friendly ketchup and steak sauce.

I would love to hear from people which ones they like best. Thanks :-)

Oh and Cathy, great advice on the Silk creamer, it is good. I love to drink Soy Slender instead of milk for my dairy in take. I usually have the vanilla one as a snack and it really satisfies.
