Questions...

I'm thinking about starting SBD, but have a few questions about some of the things I'm eating now and what I've seen many people eating. I've read through the basics, but there's still some questions. I know that part of my problem is going to be the amount of fat something has - you always hear fat is bad, less fat is better, etc. So PLEASE be patient with my questions on this - it's a whole new way of thinking that I'm going to have to get used to.

Peanut butter:
Ok, I see practically everyone eating natural peanut butter - which sounds great. But I've noticed that it still has 16 grams of fat. I've recently bought BetterNPeatnutButter (http://www.betternpeanutbutter.com/specs.html), is this SBD legal? I don't see anything that jumps out as bad, but I'm still new at this....

Water:
Actually, by water, I mean flavored water. I know fruits are a no-no during Phase 1, but I've been drinking Berkley & Jensen Sparkling Water Beverages (various fruit flavors)
Ingredients:
Carbonated Water, Citric Acid, Natural Flavor, Potassium Benzoate, Sucralose (Splenda brand sweetener), and acesulfame potassium
Calories 0, Fat 0, Sodium 0, Carbs 0, Sugars 0, Protein 0
It seems like it would be ok, but the "natural flavor" is throwing me off.
I also like to put Crystal Light in my water...it seems as though this is SBD legal.

Tea:
I'm normally an avid Starbucks fan (I'm addicted to the skinny lattes and am soooooo glad they are SBD legal - even in Phase 1...12+ hour work days won't happen without one!), but I've recently began drinking tea at home, something that I NEVER did 2 WEEKS ago.
These are the ones I'm currently drinking:

I'm thinking this a no because of the corn starch:

Legal? Part of the 1-2 servings of caffeinated tea/coffee?

I'm a pretty picky eater...so I'm a little weary of being able to find foods that are legal that I actually enjoy so any advice is welcome. I'm sure I'll have more questions as I look into SBD more and start, but these will do for now :-).

With the BetterNPeanut butter, I'm not positive, but I think it'd be a no-no because of all the "syrups" which indicate sugars and the added sugars and starches.

Thanks for the tips!

I had a feeling after reading more posts, that "my" peanut butter wasn't going to be allowed because of the syrups. I was so PROUD when I found it since I was missing it like crazy (I've recently been taking Alli and there's no way I was going to "waste" 16 grams of fat on 2 Table spoons of something.)

I was that kid no one understood: I LOVED asparagus, hated corn. Loved artichoke hearts, hated carrots. Loved broccoli, hated peas. Loved mushrooms, hated green beans. Still won't touch carrots, in fact, when it's in soups/salads/pastas I'll either pick them out or (in the case of soups), eat around them - people at work (particularly the guy who eats a huge carrot every single day) are amazed that I can eat every single thing BUT the carrots in my chicken soup. It's a talent :-). I didn't eat lettuce until I was about 16. I'm going to be in for a lot of changes.

Hi & welcome!

I know it can take some time to change the "fat-free" way of eating that you're used to.
