Is there a limit to how much SF Gum you can have each day? I guess it would count towards your sweet treats? I LOVE to chew Trident (various flavors) and it says it is 5 cal per piece.

Thanks,

Nicol

Just count it towards your sweet treats.

Thanks Cathy, that is what I thought, just wanted to be sure. I was putting two pieces in at a time since they are pretty small but that was a bad habit to get into. I am going to go back to just one piece at a time. I chew it after almost every meal and it curbs the desire for something sweet.

Nicol -

I also chew gum to curb my sweet need after a meal.

Just watch out for the sugar alcohols - I was surprised how much could be in a tiny piece of gum - some will have 2g in just one piece. I am pretty sensitive to them and my limit is about 6g of them per day before I end up in the bathroom all night. Anyone ever see the episode of House where the guy quits smoking, starts chewing sf gum to help him quit and ends up with severe cramps and diarrhea, cracked me up - I was immediately screaming "Its the sugar alcohol in that darn gum" at the screen and my dh was giving me weird looks.

The Trident says calories <5 ..........oh and I just found where it says on the package "this size stick has been reduced from 5 to 3 1/2 calories"
