Hi all!

This is my second day on the Beach and so far so good :) I'd like to say that this forum has been a great resource and major kudos to all the members for keeping it fun!

A little about me:

I'm in my mid-thirties working a FT job and going to school at night to become a massage therapist. Needless to say, this has really messed up when I eat and what I am eating. Often when I get home at 10-10:30 PM all I want to do is shove something fast and easy down my gullet and attack my homework...not to mention that the word 'exercise' is a vague memory (I ran a 5K last year).

So it's On the Beach for me to provide some healthy eating structure and these message boards to help with the motivation.

Thanks and keep the boards alive!

Info/input from massage therapists are always welcome! I live on the East Coast (NJ about 20 mins west of NY) and licensing/certification was pretty lax, however recently they passed a law about licensing and certification for therapists in NJ. Apparently the government is still working out the details. I'd say that they field is still on the upswing over here and there are a lot more schools opening.

Originally I had thought about going into sports therapy as well (I'd love to work with the NY Rangers or Pittsburgh Penguins and massage hockey players!) but I'm starting to really get into the holistic aspect of it...I really like the idea of being someone who helps people heal themselves...maybe Amma therapy is more my style?!

Thanks again for the info/input!
