After one week on Phase 1

Well 1 week down and 1 to go. I am feeling great! I love the way I feel when I am eating right. More energy, lighter, clearer thinking, motivated. Over the past week there have been times that I have desired bread or cereal, usually whan I am getting it for my children, but I resisted. But overall I do not have any cravings. I have never been a big sweet eater. But I Love starwberries and cereal and am looking forward to having those again (healthy cereal of course).

I got up this morning and weighed myself........I am down 3 lbs so far. That is good but not as good as I had hoped. Last time I did P1 (3 yrs ago) I lost 5.5 lbs the first week of P1, so I guess I was hoping for the same. I did have a little more to lose last time though so maybe that is why. I had 15 to lose then and 10 lbs now. I have followed P1 to the "T", I get my 4.5 + cups of veggies, 2 cups dairy and just stick with appropriate snacks and fats. Although I did goof on 2nd day having 1/2 cup of FF SF pudding for desert (before I knew it was only OK in P2). I doubt that would effect me that much. I think I exercised more last time I did P1 though. This time I only exercised one day which was yesterday, but it was intense. Last time I think I exercised 3 times the first week. I ended up losing 8 lbs total in P1 last time so it slowed the second week. I hope it is the opposite this time and I lose more this week. Maybe it will even out by the time the 2nd week is done.

Either way I know I will get the last 7 lbs off eventually and I will just keep getting healthier along the way.

Anyone else only lose 3 lbs in the first week of P1? Any support will be appreciated from anyone and everyone.

Thanks,

Nicol

Well if it makes you feel any better... I only lost 3lbs in the 2 weeks of phase 1. LOL. But I think it was because I was already eating relatively healthy before I started SB.

Congrats on the 3lbs!!!

Thanks, you know what they may be part of it. I was eating much healthier when I started this time than I was before I started 3 yrs ago. I don't think I had as much water weight to lose this time either which is usually what is mostly lost when you lose a huge chunk in the first week. So Maybe this is more 'real' fat.....I do feel quite a bit slimmer.

I will just stick with it and see what happens. Now I will be weighing daily and it will be interesting to see the fluctuations. I wonder how long the 10 lbs will take. It took me 2 months to lose the 15 lbs last time.

Thanks to all.
