Starting...Soon...HELP!

I'm going to be starting SBD soon. It will be at least a week since I will have to stock up on (non-perishable) SBD legal foods while I finish the low/non-fat stuff I'm currently eating and I can't buy more than I can carry - I have no car and on the subway it takes me about 2 hours round trip for a less than 20 minute grocery store run.
So my questions:
Since I work crazy hours and don't have the time/money to keep going back to the store, what ingredients automatically keep something from being SBD legal in P1? Particularly ingredients that you would think would be legal, but turn out not so legal, or even when you see something in ingredients list that appears to be illegal but could be legal given the amount involved. I'd like to avoid as many surprises as I can.
I typically don't eat during my work day...when I'm involved in my job I actually forget to eat. Any suggestions? When I do snack during the day I'm usually eating pretzels (obviously a no-no) or candy (another no-no) so I'm thinking maybe soy nuts will be a good substitute (it's the crunch from the pretzels I like and the almonds in the candy). *Note I do (almost always) eat lunch...however, unless I bring it myself it's usually cheap Italian (I'm Italian and I love the cheap place down the street from my office - $3 for a HUUUUGE portion of "specialty" pasta, my favorite is Wednesday's Chicken Marsala.) or fast food. So it's not lunch that scares me, it's the required snacks.*
I'm single, live alone, work very long hours (I work in tax), and the only thing I hate more than cooking is washing dishes. So I'm really interested in any easy, quick, little mess dishes that can stretch into more than one dinner and lunch. I prefer left overs for lunch as it's easier to find 2 minutes to heat something up than 15 minutes to run outside to pickup food, but I'm also not opposed to eating "sandwiches" or sandwich things (tuna, etc.) - they usually don't fill me up very well though.
I'm currently using Smart Beat Non-fat Mayonnaise Dressing for my tuna. I can't find the ingredient list on-line but I'm thinking it's not legal because the 2nd ingredient is "corn starch-modified" and the 3rd ingredient is sugar - although the nutrition info is 1 gram of sugar/serving. Can anyone confirm this?
I did accidentally buy this one day: http://www.smartbalance.com/MayonnaiseFamily.aspx
Legal or no? I'm going with no, but I'm still very new at this.
I remember seeing something about a particular brand of yogurt for P1...anyone know which is the more popular brand/type (I have a feeling it was something to do with Greek....)?
And finally I have a pint of Soy Delicious (http://www.turtlemountain.com/products/organic_soy_delicious_chocolate_velvet.html) in my freezer. I know this isn't legal for P1 or P2, but what about an occasional treat on P2? Should I just finish it before starting P1 or just toss it (I don't know ANYONE who eats vegan ice cream; I originally bought it because of the low fat content...and, surprise!, I like it better than "regular" ice cream.)?
I think that's it for now...but feel free to toss in any tips that haven't hit the Getting Started threads!

Hi, and welcome to the board!

Here is a list of some of the ingredients that are red flags for us on South Beach:
high fructose corn syrup
hydrogenated oil
Sugar
Here's more information on sugar and how to tell which should be avoided:

On South Beach it's important to eat all of your meals and snacks in phase 1.
These are the Newman's Spelt pretzels (phase 2):
