Day 1
6
Tue, 03-11-2008 - 6:36pm
Well, Day 1 is about to come to a close and I am feeling fairly good about things. I almost bought some candy this afternoon at the grocery store and tried to tell myself that I needed just one more day before starting, but I had had a good breakfast and lunch, and I just knew if I gave in today I would continue to give in just like I have done the last few years, LOL! Anyhow, today's menu looked like this:

Breakfast: 2 eggs, 1 C. ff milk, 8 oz. V-8

Snack: none, because I wasn't at all hungry

Lunch: spinach with 3 oz. tuna and lt. Caesar dressing (3g sugar/2 Tbs.)

Snack: lf cheese stick

Dinner: chicken breast sprinkled with lemon pepper and sauteed in olive oil with a whole green pepper and small onion (I make this a lot and serve over ww spaghetti, but omitted that part tonight), 1 C. ff milk

Dessert: sf Jell-o after the girls go to bed

I am afraid that I am going to get hungry, as my dinner wasn't that large (it barely fit on a salad plate). I may go ahead and eat some pistachios (supposed to be the AM snack that I didn't eat) just to tide me over till morning.

My brand new iPod came this afternoon and I am going to spend the next week or so arranging my music and making play lists. I want to start exercising again as well. I also bought a new purse and got my new organizer all set up. Today was an exciting day!!!

Way to go on resisting temptation! The desire for candy will go away soon and you will be so happy that you stayed on track. I am on day 13 of P1 and am feeling great. Keep us updated on your progress.

I want an Ipod.....lucky you!

Great job on ignoring the candy and staying on your first day plan! You'll do great. And if you're hungry you should definitely eat your pistachio's. Deprivation is not the way to go. Especially on day 1.

And wow, I am eating WAY more food than you are. LOL!

This afternoon, I was dying for....something? I coudn't think what, but I was at work and just wanted SOMETHING. So, I ran and got a nf sf cappuccino at Starbucks. That did the trick. Then i was hungry and came home and before I made dinner I ate salad. Well, then I had seconds on the salad and both servings with a few garbanzo beans.

And then I was full! So, that was my dinner. I guess I'll eat that yummy chicken chipotle chili for lunch tomorrow. But my guys at it and liked it!

Great job on the first day. And a big yay to saying no to the candy. That's a biggie!
I second the spaghetti squash. I love that stuff and there is so much you can do with it.
