How long is long enough for phase 1?

Hi all,

I am on day 5 of phase one. I am down 4 lbs and have about 24lbs left to go. I've done really well, no slip ups and I feel like it's really helped with cravings.

My problem is variety. I'm finding breakfast REALLY hard. I've been eating eggs every day. Sometimes with fat free ham, sometimes with lf cheese and always with a glass of skim milk and/or V8.

I'm not having any problems with lunch and dinner and I'm able to get all my veggies in.

I have however been getting the headaches the last couple days, which I know is normal.

I can be a pretty picky eater, so that makes it harder. I've looked through the recipe section, but nothing appeals to me for breakfast.

I think I could go a full 7 days on phase 1, but I don't think I could do much longer. But, my question is, will I miss out on some of the health benefits if I cut it short? I'm not too concerned about the extra weight loss that I could get from phase one. I've already lost 4 lbs and I am happy with that for this phase.

And if I do end it at one week, would I go ahead and add one grain and one fruit a day for the first week?

Suggestions and tips would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

If you're ready to move on, then certainly do so!

I did dinner leftovers on Saturday and then made a frittata that was way more veggies and meat than eggs on Sunday. The variety was nice. But SHOOT! If I can move on into phase 2 with a piece of fruit for the afternoon snack and a ww/tortilla burrito for breakfast, i am There. I don't care about the grain with dinner so much yet, but I've wanted either that burrito or oatmeal.

Thanks for this info ladies. I think the first time I did SB, the phase-1-for-2-weeks deal was more of a rule. Not so flexible. So, I was still thinking this way.
