Newbie Starting South Beach!

Hi everyone! I am new to the board and new to the South Beach Diet. I'm very excited to get started tomorrow! I'm getting the book today, so I have a guide. I know Phase 1 lasts two weeks. I'm committed and dedicated as I have 30 lbs to lose in 3 months. Is this a realistic goal on this diet? Any and all advice is appreciated! :)

30 lbs in 3 months does indeed sound like a bit of a stretch. I'd be worried that if you didn't reach that you'd feel discouraged instead of realizing how well you did. I've been on the beach for a week and just FEEL so much better. So maybe you can concentrate on that, and lower your lb loss expectations just a bit.
Either way, you'll do great I am sure!
