So I am on day 4 of P1 and doing well. I had a small chili w/cheese from Wendy's last night. I think I read here a long time ago that that was legal?? I also had 2 glasses of white wine, which I shouldn't have, but I did. Now, in the past, those two glasses of wine would have sent me into the "I failed" mode and I would have eaten cookies & ice cream before bed and followed it up the next day with a pizza for lunch. Today, I got up, and just kept cracking on P1. I hope those 2 glasses don't kill me. I have been exercising and drinking my water, so hopefully I'll be ok. One more question: I have been eating a lot of salad. How much salad dressing should I be having in a day?? I am using dressing that has 2g sugar content per 1/4 c. serving. I figure I have 1/4 c. w/each salad. Please advise.

Wendy's chili is fine on SB but I am not sure about the cheese, not sure if its the LF kind or not, probably someone here will know and answer that for us. You did the right thing to just get right back on track and stick with P1 instead of caving in cause you had the wine. I don't think the 2 glasses will kill ya, but try to avoid having any more until P2. Then you can have up to 2 glasses per day of wine, but Red wine is the best for you.
You should be using 2 Tablespoons of salad dressing on your salad. And its good that it has less than 3 grams of sugar.
How are you feeling on day 4? More energized? Notice any changes?
I'm pretty sure that Wendy's cheese isn't low fat, but my kids get their baked potatoes all the time and the sour cream that comes with it is low-fat. Go figure! I bet you could get one and put that on instead of cheese.

Regarding salads, one thing that I learned to love was olive oil drizzled over my salad, with a little kosher salt on top.

Try this for your salad (I've done this for a year), pour your two tbsp. into the bottom of a large bowl, toss your salad fixings in and then stir, stir, stir, stir till every single leaf of lettuce is coated. I find that olive oil based dressing distributes much better than others.

You're doing great. The Wendy's chili is fine. Not all the time, I wouldn't think. You should probably keep a mentality that fast food is a once in a while thing (for me, I've been eating my lunch out legally 1 time a week, on fridays. I bring the rest of the time, and we don't eat out during the week)
I think that Wendy's cheese is high in fat though. So, I'd skip that next time. I eat a caesar side (with not quite all of the dressing, no croutons) and a small chili w/no cheese when I go there. Nice treat!
The wine shouldn't derail you. I've done that. And like you, now that it doesn't cause me to go on a "binge" it's far less of a disaster. In Phase 1, the reason to remain 100% off the alcohol is for detox purposes, basically. There's quite a bit of sugar, and if you're trying to kill off those cravings, you need to avoid it completely and then gradually reintroduce it. But still, I wouldn't call that the end of the world. It wasn't for me. And you did a great job after.
If you check the meal planner for Phase 1, I think it gives a guideline of 2 Tbsp oils/dressing/fat per meal. That's hard for me to stick to personally. 2 Tbsb is 1/8 of a cup. And somehow, that makes for a sometimes dry salad. i am trying, but don't always do great. At least you're making a good choice with the sugar content!
