I'm a first time journaler here on the board and I am logging today to get myself going on my Journal....a little umph for tomorrow, I guess.
Although I'm down like 36 # since starting the Beach this past August, I am up 4 # since before the holidays and I feel crappy. I feel like a whale (even though I know I'm not) and just feel gross in general (too much white sugar, flour , and hydrogenated items over the past few weeks). It's my own fault. I did it to myself and take full responsibility for it. What I realised is that I just can't eat this bad way anymore. A meal here or there not totally sbd approved is one thing , several weeks of it is another! This was my first holiday season since living on the Beach, and I think I tried too hard to have the best of both worlds(foodwise). Hopefully, living through this year's experience will help me for next year to be more holiday responsible. I have read on the board that others also had problems their first holiday seasons on the Beach as well.
So, what next?
Back on the wagon full throttle tomorrow. Meal planning tonight and tomorrow. Grocery shopping Wednesday.
My New Year's Resolution is to be healthier this year than last and to help my family be heathier as well.
I like to make weekly goals for myself rather than lots of lofty ones so this week I am focussing on 3 things: (1) drink my water! Part of my weight gain I know is because I have not been drinking my water. Shame on me! (2) Journal every day so I get used to it...once it becomes habit, hopefully, I won't need to remind myself so much to do it. (3) Get moving! I have been slacking big time on my exercising and I can feel it...physically and mentally....

GW: 150 ..... eventually , but 180 is my next mini goal. I do it in 10# increments so that it's an easier attainable number.
I know I can do this!

Just an FYI, juice isn't allowed on SBD, other than V8.
Thanks for the input, Joy...maybe I figured the kashi wrong...1 c. is 53 g so I just went to 2/3 thinking that would put me close to the 30 g.....Is that how you are supposed to

also it was fresh queezed juice that I squeezed myself. Is that allowed?
No fruit juice is allowed on SBD through Phase 1 and Phase 2.
I see; I wasn't sure of the serving size.
