I guess this would be a good idea to start journaling so I can see what my apparent triggers are... I know what my trigger was tonight, DH left today for 8 days. Therefore, boredom hit, and with no one around to notice, I managed to polish off a good bit of ice cream.

Now, I feel just yucko. Usually, when DH was gone before, it was time to sneak a smoke. Now, since I have quit my closet smoking habit (8 weeks tomorrow, Yay!), I guess I turned to food for my guilty pleasure. This could turn ugly if it carries on for 8 days! Anyhoo, I will start tomorrow fresh. For now, time to drink some water and go to bed and put this day behind me. Oh yes, I also figured out the peanut butter must be put out of the house. I am not responsible for my actions when it is around. It is amazing the multitude of things I can think of to put peanut butter on! LOL!

See you tomorrow!

When I was able to, I would do my long runs on Sunday outside. I found it was so much harder on my joints though. I do get bored with the treadmill, but with a 3 1/2 year old at home, sometimes it is the only way I can get in a workout. Even worse is if she is with me I have to watch Nickelodeon or Sprout. That can sure make an hour drag by!

Good Luck getting back into it. It is so frustrating for me to have to wait out this darn knee injury.

Take care,

Michelle

Friday February 22

I finally broke down and got on the scale this morning! Eeeks! I have gained almost 6 pounds. I knew the past probably 3 weeks have been bad, and the scale did not lie. I am feeling better though since I have made good food choices since Tuesday and am not having the cravings that had gotten the better of me for the last 3 weeks. I think my weight at 113 was probably a little low, so I have updated my goal to reflect a healthier 115. Two pounds do make a difference. So, my goal for the April Fools challenge is officially 115.

I did not journal yesterday, but I did well eating. So hoping to get back on track. With that in mind...

Breakfast

Steel-cut oats with cinnamon, sf syrup, sliced bananas (about 1/2 banana) and pecans (1/16 of a cup)

Strawberries and cantaloupe

Coffee with skim milk and Splenda

Bottle of water

I put all of this into Fitday.com and it came up to 329 calories I think. I know we are not supposed to count calories, but with my recent gain, I think I need to get a general idea of how many calories I am actually consuming in a day for a few days. After all, no matter what, more calories in than calories out equals weight gain.

Lunch

Large salad with romaine, mushrooms, red onion, zuccini, roma tomatoes, and Kraft Lite Balsamic Vinegar dressing

Cup of Winter Barley soup

Sf fudgesicle

Bottle of water

Snack

About 6 walnut halves

1/2 medium banana ( I swear, I have been craving bananas lately! We probably go through about 10 every few days!)

About 10 Garden Harvest crisps

Dinner

2 leftover chicken strips (MichealAnn's)

Broccoli

Brussel Sprouts

Handful of raw baby carrots while getting dinner ready

Sf fudgesicle
