OK, so I booked tickets to go home to NY for 3 weeks in April, so I am starting my list of things I want to get to bring back to Greece with me. Some of this stuff is available here but just expensive, so I'll stock up there. :-)
- Steel Cut Oats in Bulk! (where in NYC, Qns. or L.I.)
- Natural Peanut Butter
- Triscuits
- SF Jello
- Starbuck's SF syrups (which are best?)
As I think of other things, I will add them...I will be asking for some help here, what specialties you rely on, where in NY to go to get bulk Steel Cuts, etc.
In the meantime, I am tetering on 157/158. I am thrilled to be in the 150's. I have 2/3 pounds to go to meet my Valentine goal.
Has been a difficult couple of weeks. My dad went into the hospital, he's OK now and in a rehab for exercise. It's been quite a rollercoaster and I have had many days with one foot out the door ready to jump on the next plane! I am waiting until April since he is ok and my dd has 2 weeks off for Greek Easter, so I will take her out an additional week and go and see my family for a while.

There's a huge Whole Foods in Manhattan but not sure if that's convenient for you.

Thanks Cathy!
Everyday is like a roller coaster lately.
Hey Maz!
Just wanted to let you know you can buy a couple of the Starbucks syrups online too..they have Hazelnut and Vanilla right now:

The Starbuck's at Target today actually had some of the gingebread and SF gingerbread syrups out on their shelf to sell--I think since it's seasonal they were trying to get rid of the leftovers. My grocery store has a few flavors out on the floor, but for other ones I have to ask at the Starbuck's counter.
Congrats Maz on hitting the 150s! :o)
TGIF.
