OK, so I booked tickets to go home to NY for 3 weeks in April, so I am starting my list of things I want to get to bring back to Greece with me. Some of this stuff is available here but just expensive, so I'll stock up there. :-)
- Steel Cut Oats in Bulk! (where in NYC, Qns. or L.I.)
- Natural Peanut Butter
- Triscuits
- SF Jello
- Starbuck's SF syrups (which are best?)
As I think of other things, I will add them...I will be asking for some help here, what specialties you rely on, where in NY to go to get bulk Steel Cuts, etc.
In the meantime, I am tetering on 157/158. I am thrilled to be in the 150's. I have 2/3 pounds to go to meet my Valentine goal.
Has been a difficult couple of weeks. My dad went into the hospital, he's OK now and in a rehab for exercise. It's been quite a rollercoaster and I have had many days with one foot out the door ready to jump on the next plane! I am waiting until April since he is ok and my dd has 2 weeks off for Greek Easter, so I will take her out an additional week and go and see my family for a while.

Thanks Cathy!
Breakfast:
Hey Cathy,
I checked that Whole Foods locator.
Maz,
If you can't find the Starbucks sf syrups, then you can find a few flavors in the DaVinci sf syrups at Walmart. These are smaller bottles and also plastic, instead of glass. Which might be better for traveling. My Walmart usually carries French Vanilla, Caramel, Hazelnut and Raspberry flavors.
The South Beach cereal bars are also great!!! We like all the flavors, but peanut butter is our favorite. They will be found in the same area in the store as the Kashi TLC bars.
And...the Kelloggs All Bran crackers are delicious as well. They come in Garlic & Herb and Mult-Grain. They are usually in the same area as the Garden Harvest chips.
Hope you are bringing an extra suitcase for all your goodies!!!
Hope your dad is doing better as well.

I would also suggest the Newman's Own Spelt Pretzels.
