I've been journaling on my own for a while, but I figured I'd join in here, starting with yesterday:

Fri 2/8

B – 1 c. Kashi Go Lean in skim milk w/ banana; 12 almonds

Cup of Decaf w/ 1 T FF HH and S&L

S –  homemade flax bran apple carrot muffin and a Dannon Light n Fit yogurt; water

1 small square of 72% dark chocolate; 2nd cup of decaf w/ 1 TFF HH and S&L;

2 NSA dried cherries and 5 NSA dried cranberries (testing tartness for a recipe)

L – 2 c. homemade chicken meatball soup (FF chicken broth, ground chicken, spices, carrots, celery, onions, green beans, kale); SF pudding cup; water

S – delicious apple and chipotle cheddar stick; tiny bite of Rick’s Larabar

D – 2 glasses of Cabernet; African shrimp (recipe posted above); Spinach salad w/ 2 T NSA dried cranberries, toasted walnuts (about 5 or 6), 2 T. crumbled goat cheese, and  light Cranberry-Walnut dressing (I realized after I got this home that it has waaay too much sugar -- 8g -- so I guess I won't be using that again!)

Today was much "better" food-wise than most weekend days -- in that, I actually ate both breakfast and lunch. (Usually because of *trying* to sleep in, I only end up eating a late breakfast/brunch, then I spend the rest of the day hungry because I didn't eat enough earlier in the day.

Here's food!

B - Kashi Go Lean in skim milk w/ blueberries; 2 cups of decaf w/ 1 T FF HH and S&L/each

S - mug of hot cocoa (FF evap milk and skim milk, cocoa powder, Splenda)

L - Leftover African Shrimp Skillet from last night (shrimp, black beans, sweet potatoes, tomatoes); SF pudding cup

S - grapes (2 servings worth)

Brunch - 2 whole wheat pancakes (41 g. total - 1 grain serving acc. to recipe) w/ 1 tsp smart balance light and SF maple syrup; 2 slices Turkey bacon, sliced peaches, mango chunks, cherries (frozen medley -- NSA); glass of skim milk

2 cups of decaf w/ 1T (each) FF HH and S&L

S - 1/2 of a homemade cherry-almond muffin (used ww pastry flour and Splenda) w/ 1/2 tsp smart balance light (I'm calling this 1/2 grain);

Hi Joy,

I found NSA dried cranberries and cherries in the Healthy Harvest (organic) section of my regular grocery store (Shaw's)--on a whim, actually.

I hear you! Everybody knows I have been watching what I eat and trying to change my ways for the better for months now. This past Sunday my daughter brought over a chocolate fudge brownie she made for me as a belated birthday gift. The thought was so very sweet but that was the last thing I wanted to eat. I ate a slice of it so I wouldn't hurt her feelings, but I swear once I had that I craved chocolate all the way thru the next day and ended up binging! Stay strong!

Hi Misty,

That's what I'm afraid of -- having one small peice, then craving everything in sight for the whole weekend. And by the weekend, it'll be TOM, so I'll be craving everything anyway!
