3/1/08 Saturday (weight loss for February = 1.4lbs ...yuck, not so happy with that)
3 grains, 2 or 3 fruits, 4 1/2 cup veggies (1/2 cup beans), 2 dairy

AM: diet soda, coffee, Kashi TLC bar
late lunch: 1 garlic cheese biscuit, salad w/1T honey mustard dressing, 2 small broiled scallops, grilled red snapper, about 4 cups of broccoli florets
snack: diet green tea
dinner:
dessert:
PM: Starbucks skinny latte, banana NPB smoothie (double dairy)

2G, 1F, 5.5v, 2D

exercise/activity: shopping

40oz. water/fluid

lunch: crockpot split pea soup
snack: large plum, yogurt cup, SB Tide Me Over drink (20oz.), triscuits
dinner: hot & sour soup w/shrimp & scallops, mu shu chicken (2 grains)
dessert: 1 piece Dove dk chocolate
PM: mango smoothie

3G, 2F, 3.5V, 2D

exercise/activity: rest day

lunch: 1/2 cucumber, cherry tomatoes w/salad dressing, about of cup of hoison chicken w/brown rice
snack: SB Tide Me Over drink (20oz.), nectarine, sf pudding cup
dinner: mexican lasagna, mandarin salad
dessert:
PM: banana NPB smoothie

3G, 3.5F, 4V, 2D

exercise/activity: 5 miles stationary bike (1 mile sprints, 21 min 29 sec)

lunch: cup of hot & sour soup, mu shu chicken, 20oz. SB Tide Me Over drink
snack: pear, LC Lite cheese, sf pudding cup, spiced chai tea w/Splenda & dash of non-fat milk
dinner: roast, carrots/celery/onions, green beans, ww roll
dessert:
PM: banana NPB smoothie

3G, 2F, 4.5V, 2D

exercise/activity: 5 miles stationary bike, 1 mile sprints, 21 min, 29 sec

Uuuuugggghhhhh, DD is still struggling with schoolwork. And this is exam week. She's been up til nearly 11pm the last 3 nights in a row with homework. Her teachers keep piling up schoolwork/homework on top of projects and now exams. Sometimes I wonder if they aren't throwing too much 'stuff' at them at once. Math continues to be a real problem for her. She & DH spent over 3 hours on 4 pages of math last night. I'm so ready for exams to be over...when will it end???

I'm curious, since you mention your DD, as to whether her grades have improved?

She has been doing better, Joy. Thanks for asking. She seems to be over the whole 'do bad to be cool' thing. But I'm afraid the damage is done for this grading period. She's been bringing home a few A's and some B's on tests and notebook checks lately, so I feel a bit better about it. It's a daunting task to bring D's up to B's...which is what she knows I want her to do. It may not happen, and truth be told, I would be happy with C's this time, just as long as she is able to bring them up a letter grade. (I won't tell her that tho, because I want her to try her absolute best to bring these grades up!!!)

DH & I have talked about tutoring, but we're not sure that she needs that. She just needs to apply herself. She's very capable of making good grades...when she wants to. I think an attitude adjustment is order here. Just not sure how to effect that change in her. Nothing we've done/said has made much of a difference.

Right now, we're just trying to get thru this week and a few days next week when she will finally be done with the exams. Then we'll wait to see what happens with her grades this time. In the meantime, I'll try to keep from yanking all my hair out!!!

lunch: 2 cups hot & sour soup (lots of mushrooms & bamboo shoots), diet green tea, 1 cup NSA chocolate milk
snack: triscuits, LC Lite cheese, plum
dinner: roast, carrots/celery/onions, yellow squash, brown rice
dessert:
PM: strawberry smoothie w/sf white chocolate syrup

3G, 2F, 4.5V, 2D

exercise/activity: Kathy Smith - lower body
