It's easier to make healthy meal choices when you have all of the ingredients ready to go & recipes ideas listed & quick to choose from.
There's no rules for how to meal plan.
You can plan certain meals for specific days,
or simply list the week's "choices."
It's ok if you don't end up following your plan; life happens.
Other bonuses include:
A less stressful early evening (you KNOW what you're going to make).
Money savings (less eating out).
Fewer trips to the food store.

Here's another thing I do....
SAVE my meal plans from the past (I email them to myself & put into a separate "meal plans" folder). Later on you can refer back to them for effortless future meal plans!

Monday - Seared Scallops, Sweet Potato, and Pecan Salad
Tuesday - Spicy Pork & Bell Pepper fajitas w/ black bean salad
Wednesday - Chicken in Wine Sauce and sauteed spinach
Thursday - Taco salad
Friday - Sliced steak over ceasar salad
Ooooh I want to eat at your house on Monday & Wednesday!!!

Monday - turkey sausage with onions, peppers and tomatoes
Tuesday - asian chicken patties, oriental stir-fried veggies
Wednesday - shrimp scampi with brown rice and spinach
Thursday - steak, salad, roasted zucchini
Friday - talapia, roasted zucchini
