Hi!

I just saw this recipe in a parenting magazine I get. It is a summer treat for kids, but I thought with a little modification it could be SBD friendly. I'll list the recipe with my substitutions in parenthesis. I am new at this, but always looking for better ways to satisfy my sweet tooth. And the added calcium wouldn't hurt either!

In a blender mix:

1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

1/4 c + 1 tbs sugar (splenda or sweet & low equivalent)

Add 1 1/4 c low-fat (skim) milk and whirl for 20 seconds.

Add 2 c ice cubes and puree about 30 seconds until it looks like a thick slush.

This is 4 servings. Can anyone tell me if this might be allowed? And for what phase? Any input would be greatly appreciated!

I made this last night, with a twist that would be good for P2 or P3. I used frozen (unsweetened) mixed berries in place of half the ice.

It was yummy!

Thanks for sharing the recipe with us.
