Oh, I'm so sorry to have to tell you this - The low carb yogurt is not a good choice. For phase 1, stick to the plain nonfat yogurt. For phase 2, you can have 1/2 cup of the art. sweetened nonfat daily (more if it does not contain high fructose corn syrup). Low carb yogurt contains added saturated fat to replace the carbohydrate. The SBD doesn't count grams of carbohydrate. The focus is selecting the right carbs and fats. Both nonfat plain and art. sweetened nonfat yogurt contain good carbs.

Ok, I'll toss the "Praise God", but I'm sticking with the yogurt!

It only has 2 grams of sat. fat--and my cholesterol is only 141 with HDL of 77.

I'll risk it!

And---an egg has 1.8 g saturated fat, and I am encouraged to eat them on SBD.

Not trying to be disrespectful--love SBD but we all gotta find ways to make it work in our lives. Thanks for leading this board-I love it!

I feel the same way. You've got to pick and choose what fits in your life. I am good about avoiding saturated fat in just about everything else I eat, so I don't think one little bitty serving of full-fat yogurt per day is going to make much of a difference for me. Especially since I am already pretty healthy overall. If I had a problem with cholesterol I might reconsider, but I love Dannon's Vanilla Creme Carb Control yogurt. ;-)

I have 2 boxes in my fridge right now! I haven't tried any other flavor other than Vanilla creme yet.

I don't have them every day, or even every other day. They are great for a quick snack when you are sick of cheese sticks....

I'm with you! I really have been careful about sat.fat...but I'm not going to stress over it that much when it comes to a couple of grams in yogurt. And I think the new "low carb" tastes much better! I love the Vanilla Cream!!

Just want you ladies to know that all of the other Dannon Light & Fit products are South beach friendly, EXCEPT for the over-processed Low-Carb/Carb Control variety.
