I finally got around to attempting to make salmon patties. I opened the can of salmon (something I have never bought before) and YIKES - there were ugly bones and skin in it! And, it smelled like cat food! I threw it away. Obviously I bought the wrong kind. This was Chicken of the Sea Pink Salmon. I must admit I was rather confused when staring at all the varieties in the store. It sounds like a great recipe - especially with the curry sauce. Any tips on better salmon - or using fresh salmon????

i made this recipe this week and loved it! i actually added 4 crumbled up whole wheat crackers to the salmon/egg/parm mix and it was great.

Yes, the salmon was cooked and flaked first. I just 'guess-timated' the amount of salmon and then followed the regular recipe.

I often buy the large salmon filet at CostCo and cut it in half for 2 meals. Since DH was away, I cooked 1/2 of the salmon for dinner, and then used the leftovers for the salmon patties.
