Have you been craving breaded fish and meats? I made up a very quick-and-easy breading last night that tasted wonderful!!! I used mine for oven-fried turkey breast cutlets. Use this for pan-fried, oven fried or baked meats or fish:
Maggie's Breading (Phase 2-3)
4 Wasa Crisps, crushed fine
1/4 c. grated parmesan cheese
garlic powder
salt
pepper
parsley
Coats 4-6 servings.
Mix well and spread in a baking dish or pour into a plastic bag. Moisten your fish or meat by dipping in beaten egg or brushing with canola or olive oil, then shake or dip into the breading. Place in baking pan sprayed with non-stick cooking spray, and cook according to directions for the meat of your choice.
Note: I put my breading in a large Ziploc bag. I lightly brushed 1/2" thick turkey breast cutlets with canola oil and then placed each in the bag, shaking and coating each cutlet. I baked the cutlets at 375 degrees for 20 minutes. They were delicious, tender, and the breading had that just-right crunchy texture!
Other suggested meats: pounded chicken breasts, filleted chicken breasts, cubed steaks, thin tenderloin pork chops, fish fillets, peeled shrimp.

If a large batch was made ahead and stored in a ziploc, it would probably keep for quite a while in the refrigerator.
Thanks for the tip!

Marie,
This breading would be for phase 2.
Lindsey
Maggie, is this breading considered a grain serving? TIA
Hi Lindsey,
Wasa Crisps are a whole grain product, and this is for Phase 2.
