Another great recipe from the new cookbook. I brought this to a buffet dinner party over the weekend where it was a big hit!

SESAME-GINGER ASPARAGUS

INGREDIENTS:

1-1/2 lbs. asparagus, trimmed and cut diagonally into 2" pieces

1 T canola oil

1 T chopped fresh ginger

1 T light soy sauce

1/4 tsp crushed red pepper flakes

1 tsp sesame oil

1 tsp sesame seeds

DIRECTIONS:

Cook asparagus (recipe says boil, but you can also steam, broil, or roast) until crisp-tender then let cool. In large skillet, heat oil. Add asparagus, ginger, soy, and red pepper flakes. Cook for 2 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in the sesame oil and seeds (I toasted the seeds first).

Enjoy!

I made this recipe with broccoli instead of asparagus, and that worked well, too!
