Sometimes I am in a hurry to grab something quick for lunch and was wondering if there are any types of the canned chili's that are legal?

Thanks,

Michelle

Michelle you'd have to look at the labels...

Wow! That makes GREAT chili!! I tried adding some of the CarbOptions Hickory Barbeque sauce, since my sons said it was missing a bit of a 'kick' (even though I was heavy on the cumin, chili and Tabasco) and it was just unbelievable.

My first try was a double batch, which I had intended to freeze in meal-sized containers, and I ended up making another double batch to meet the 'popular demand' of my growing boys and their friends.

Susan, you choose and post really great recipes- thank you so much!!

I am pretty sure the Health Valley brand of chili is legal. There is sulfered molassass in the ingredients, but I think it adds a negligable amount of sugar. I find this brand in the "health food" section of my grocery store. All their canned soups are really good, especially their broths. One word of advice though... their mild chili is VERY mild! Like, about as mild as tomato soup. So if you want your chili with some personality, go for the spicier options.

I'm going to have to try that recipe for chili, too. Sounds delicious!
