They were OK, not quite as "Brownie Like" as I had hoped, but they definitely have potential. Here's the recipe:

Decadent Fudge Brownies (P1)

1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

1/2 cup ground pecans

2 sticks butter (I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter or Smart Spread)

20 - 25 packets Splenda

4 eggs, lightly beaten

Directions:

1. Preheat oven to 375

2. Melt butter

3. Mix in cocoa, nuts, Splenda, & eggs. Pour into buttered 8” or 9” square pan

4. Bake for 25 - 30 minutes. Allow to cool for 10 minutes or so.

Serve with fat-free whipped cream, if desired

I had almonds, so I used those instead of the pecans. I think I would try adding a little vanilla next time, and maybe a little more splenda (will probably use the stuff you can measure) but they would do in a pinch. They actually kinda tasted like a chocolate souffle more than brownies. I think they are workable though.

These were much better with a little cool whip lite, or ready whip.
