It's easier to make healthy meal choices when you have all of the ingredients ready to go & recipes ideas listed & quick to choose from.
There's no rules for how to meal plan.
You can plan certain meals for specific days,
or simply list the week's "choices."
It's ok if you don't end up following your plan; life happens.
Other bonuses include:
* A less stressful early evening
(because you KNOW what you're going to make).
* Money savings (less eating out).
* Fewer trips to the food store.

Here's another thing I do....
SAVE my meal plans from the past (I email them to myself & put into a separate "meal plans" folder). Later on you can refer back to them for effortless future meal plans!

Monday - Macadamia Crusted Mahi Mahi with citrus sauce & sauteed spinach
Tuesday - Grilled Pork Kabobs with Fennel, red onion & parsley salad
Wednesday - Hunan Lamb Chops, brown rice, cucumber slices tossed in rice wine vinaigrette
Thursday - Cornish Game Hens with garlic citrus marinade, stir-fried summer squash and red peppers
Friday - Burgers & ceasar salad
Monday - Steamed mussels or salmon (haven't decided yet) and ceasar salad
Tuesday - Chicken and veggie kabobs
Wednesday - Chili and salad
Thursday - Salmon, steamed broccoli, and stir-fried peppers and onions
Friday - Steak and grilled veggies
Tuesday - Chicken sauteed with garlic zucchini and tomatoes
Wednesday - kebobs made with pieces of hot italian turkey sausage, peppers, onions, zucchini
Thursday - Grilled prtabella mushroom burgers with grilled onions on whole grain bun Friday ?
