I'm making dinner for my date Saturday night, and he's not on the SBD. Does anyone have any suggestions for Phase 1 dinner. Not hard to make, cuz I'm not the best cook.

Thank you for your help.

How about Southwestern Steak with Kidney beans and a ceasar salad.

Stacy's steak sounds good and easy.

Fancy dinner, or casual dinner?

I haven't read the other responses... but here's an elegant, "light" dinner suggestion or two.

* Tilapia Almandine *
From Kat - katindyus

Tilapia (flounder, or sole – would be good with any mild white fish)
1 TBS butter or olive oil
1/ 4 cup sliced almonds
2 tsp lemon juice

Melt 1tbsp butter and fry the tilapia 2-3 minute each side till it flakes easily. Remove from pan. Melt another tbsp butter, add 1/4 cup almonds, 2 tsp lemon juice and saute for 1 minutes. Serve sauce over fish.

*** make sure you make 3x as many of the almonds, and sprinkle them on the baby spinach salad you serve with this dish.

Casual dinner. He's not a salad person. Will probably end up making him a baked potato and me some veggies. I might go with the steak idea, but I love all the suggestions.
