Hi I had said awhile ago I would post some recipes. I tend to cook mostly indo-pak, or arab food. I have spent time in Pakistan & Egypt so I learned how to cook many things.
So here is a recipe for all of the chick pea lovers. I tend to cook w/o measurements so please adjust if you need to.

Chole'
two cans chick peas
1 large onion
olive oil
2 teaspoon ginger Fresh ground
2 teaspoon garlic
1/2 teas tumeric
1 teas garam masala
2 tomatoes or 4 romas
1 fresh green jalapeno Omit if you don't like hotness to the dish or use red pepper if you want
splash lemon juice

fry onions till brownish in oil
add tomatoes till they are cooked
add ginger garlic paste
add chick peas & tumeric
add jalapeno if used
add water till its not dry but not to watery as the tomatoes will release water
simmer until its turns in a gravy (chick peas should stay whole)
add garam masala 10 minutes before serving & splash lemon juice
garnish w/lots of cilantro!!!!!!!!
serve with Raita (yoghurt)
will post raita recipe shortly!!!!!!!

Thanks for posting this recipe, I am really excited to try it as I love Indian cuisine.

Am still waiting for the Raita recipe. I did not see it posted. Did I miss it? If so, can you bump it? If not, can you post it?

Thanks in advance,

Amy
