Party Time!

Tattoo Goo and I are hosting our first joint party together this weekend, I could use a little help with the menu!

He's a vegetarian (this week), and I'm opposed to throwing chips and dips on the table, especially since I know if there are leftovers he'll b*tch and moan if I try to toss the unhealthy stuff, lol. His friends that are coming are all men with terrible eating habits and will mutiny if I try to make everything healthy or vegetarian.

So where do I draw the line between being a good hostess and making my guests happy and not getting saddled with a bunch of leftovers I don't want to eat?

Right now I'm planning to make a crockpot of some kind of soup (TG wanted chili, but I'm vetoing that...too many men in a relatively small space, KWIM? ;-) ) and a couple of home-made pizzas to camouflage the lower fat content.

Any other suggestions?

Thanks!

Shan

Taco Dip!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Make to your liking and fat quantities! I usually use 1/3 less fat even when I make it for people who think healthy is bad! lol

8 oz cream cheese
8oz sour cream
taco seasoning
cheddar cheese
tomato
onions
lettuce
etc
Mix the top three together... layer with everything else... serve with veggies or whatever! Refridgerate!

Pizza Dip

8oz cream cheese
1 jar pizza sauce
Pizza spices and toppings
Motzy Cheese or the like
Parm cheese

Spread the cream cheese on the bottom of pie plate
Pour sauce over cream cheese
Add toppings and cheese
Bake at 350 until bubbly!

Serve however you like!

This sounds like a crowd that would like buffalo shrimp or chicken:
