I have not tried them yet because it sounds kind of strange me...what do you all think??
If you do like it which is your favorite??

I actually like the ricotta desserts. But I have to modify mine, because there is no such thing as low-fat(light) ricotta where I live. So what I do is use 1/4 cup ricotta, and 1/4 cup low-fat cottage cheese. My favorite is vanilla, almond is not too bad either. You just will have to try it to form your own opinion.
Good Luck

Hi Heather,
I do like them, but they tend to have a gritty mouth feel.
Heather,
dh & I have been on SBD for almost a year. We love ricotta cremes! When we were on P1, we did everything by the book -- every menu as Dr. A advised. So we got into the swing of ricotta cremes right away! Then I discovered these boards, and I've improved how I make them. Here are my tricks:
I think Polly-O is the nicest quality.
Add a splash of FF 1/2 & 1/2 (I buy Land O' Lakes)to make them creamier.
Add a splash of vanilla to just about all of them.
Use SF chocolate syrup for the chocolate flavor -- easier & nicer taste than cocoa
Try adding natural PB to chocolate flavor
Banana extract makes a great one -- top with walnuts or chocolate chips.
Almond with toasted almonds or chocolate chips on top is a particular flavor.
Coconut with chocolate chips is also really nice.
I just keep all my extracts out on the shelf above my sink.
And one final note -- we got really tired of these, so took about 5 months off. I just bought ricotta 2 days ago and we really loved having almond ricotta cremes for dessert the other night.
Hope this helps --
Rebecca
Thanks for responding! I am going to give it a try, everyone seems to like it...I was a little nervous about the texture....

I'm in Australia and we are currently going through our summer. We have frozen ricotta desserts about 3 times a week while the kids have their ice cream/popsicles/frozen yogurt. Unfortunatley, we don't have any variety of sugar free ice confectionary here. I found a great local low fat smooth brand of ricotta though.
At first it tasted a bit weird, but when frozen (and ingredients played with a bit) it came out delicious.
I now love the chocolate and natural peanut butter one the best; also chocolate with almond flavouring and slivers on top.
I'm not a big fan. I enjoy the flavor, but haven't found one that has a texture I like. It's not *bad*, just a little distracting if you know what I mean. I much prefer to flavor my yogurt or have a SF fudgiscle for dessert.
I also like SF jello as an occassional treat, but it seems to have a slight aftertaste of artificial sweetener to me.
Love it!
I tried it with lime juice, splenda, and vanilla...very key lime-ish!
Cocoa, splenda,
I don't like the texture of it. I've tried several different times and several different deserts and I just don't like it. One of them involved blending it, but it didn't help.
I do like ricotta in my lasagna though, but I'm not eating that lately. LOL
