Hi! I just found this board a few days ago. I've seen some recipes that call for brown sugar substitute. I have no idea what this is or where to find it. I'd like to do some baking with it. Any thoughts? TIA.

I found this recipe for brown sugar substitute. Maybe the cl's can let us know if it is ok.

Mix 1 cup of splenda with 1/4 cup of sugar free maple syrup.I tried it with sugar free pancake syrup and it was very good. I used it in my oatmeal.

Cathy, I looked all over for the Sugar Twin fake brown sugar Thanksgiving (and I live in Brooklyn) - Dagastino's, C-Town, Key-Food and my husband tried as well - never found it. What store have you seen it in?

Pam,

You can use sugar-free maple syrup.
